Amelia Brodka — The Oberek
Developed during the early stages of her pregnancy, Amelia’s Oberek shape came from a shift in her approach to skating. With vert and transition taking a back seat, her attention turned to curbs and slappies.
Featuring a wide footbed, square tail and enlarged nose designed with slappy crooks in mind, the Oberek is a mellow, playful shape built around the simple pleasure of skating.
The graphic carries a more personal story. Amelia and her husband share a tradition of collecting elephants for one another on their travels, a family ritual that finds its way onto the board. Alongside them sits a small peanut, representing their daughter, Charlotte.
A new shape for a new chapter, with a little family history worked into the details.
“It's just mellow. Skate a curb,
slappy, have a good day.”— Amelia Brodka

Alongside the Oberek, Amelia’s Wildcat decks remain available, reflecting the other side of her skating.
